What Is VelaShape?
Velashape uses infrared, radio frequency and vacuum for tightening loose skin, smoothing skin and body contouring. It is the perfect treatment for those prone to:
- Cellulite
- Lumpy Fatty Deposits
- Loose Wrinkled Skin (e.g. associated with post pregnancy)`
The procedure is QUICK, COMFORTABLE with NO DOWNTIME or aftercare.
Unlike most Radio Frequency based treatments, Velashape uses a combination of technologies combining mechanical manipulation (vacuum and massage) with heating (Radio Frequency and Infrared) to achieve better depth of penetration and overall effectiveness.
It’s the combination of these modalities that makes Velashape the most advanced and effective Radio Frequency based treatment on the market today. Velashape is a medically proven non-surgical device for improving the appearance of cellulite and body contouring. In addition, the vacuum and tissue manipulation smooths out the skin to reveal a tighter figure.
The time it takes for each treatment depends on the area being treated. The skin needs to be heated to 39-41 degrees and maintained at that temperature for ten minutes, so treatments can range between 30 minutes and 1 hour.

What Results Can I Expect?
Clinical results show that in three treatments, patients see an average of 4 cm reduction in circumference. Clinical trials have shown an average of 2 cm reduction in circumference even after a single treatment.
A minimum of three treatments is recommended to achieve maximum results and combined with the Velashape.
As with any non-invasive procedure the results you see may differ from the clinical trial results.
Does It Hurt?
Most patients find velashape comfortable, like a warm deep tissue massage. The treatment is designed to accommodate your sensitivity and comfort level. It is normal to experience a warm sensation for a few hours post treatment. Your skin may also appear red for several hours.
Is It Safe?
The treatment has been regulatory approved and proven safe and effective for all skin types and colours. VelaShape is the first device to receive FDA clearance for circumference reduction and the first class II device to receive FDA clearance for cellulite reduction.
How Quickly Will I Notice A Change?
Gradual improvement of the treated area can be seen following the first treatment with the skin surface of the treated area feeling smoother, firmer and tighter.
Results in body contouring and cellulite reduction will be most apparent 6-8 weeks following the final treatment session.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
You will need 8 or more treatments which usually results in significant improvement. Some patients may need a few more sessions. Treatment once a week is an acceptable protocol.
One maintenance treatment session per month may be necessary to sustain the results, followed by once every 2-3 months, according to individual results.
