Enhance your natural appearance

How Does It Work?

The patented UltraShape technology uses a handheld ultrasonic transducer to deliver controlled focused ultrasound at a precise depth within the fat layer.

The technology is selective, meaning that only fat cells are broken down and completely destroyed and surrounding important structures such as blood vessels nerves and connective tissue remain intact.

Each patient follows a personalised program and undergoes a recommended series of three UltraShape treatments combined with 6 VelaShape procedures in order to maximise results.

The series of treatments are performed over a 6 week period with UltraShape performed fortnightly and Velashape – our complimentary tightening procedure performed both immediately afterwards and weekly in between allowing time for the body’s natural metabolic processes to safely clear away the destroyed fat cells and maximising results.

What Results Can I Expect?

Clinical results show that in three treatments, patients see an average of 4 cm reduction in circumference. Clinical trials have shown an average of 2 cm reduction in circumference even after a single treatment.

A minimum of three treatments is recommended to achieve maximum results and combined with the Velashape.

As with any non-invasive procedure the results you see may differ from the clinical trial results.

How Much Does The Procedure Cost?

Packages start from $1,800 and will include:

  • Ultrashape
  • Velashape
  • Weight loss Doctor Consultation

The treatment fee is determined by considering the number of desired treatment areas, the size of the treatment area and the number of treatments required to effectively reduce the unwanted fat deposits.

How Does UltraShape Differ From Other Fat Reducing Technology Being Advertised?

There are many treatments on the market currently being advertised that promise to smooth skin, treat cellulite and remove fat, many of which the results do not meet expectations.

The majority of treatments geared to deliver these results use massage therapies with or without a combination of radiofrequency (RF), Infrared (IR), or laser treatments, which aim to heat the tissue at different skin levels. These procedures act to mobilize fat from the fat cells rather than reducing fat volume, leaving the fat cells intact.

Whilst these modalities can be an effective tool when used in combination with UltraShape, or in areas where there is simply not enough fat for UltraShape (see Velashape), these provide temporary improvement in the appearance of cellulite, toning and smoothing but do not directly target underlying unwanted fat and so are not suited to body contouring.

UltraShape is the only technology on the market today that uses patented “focused” ultrasound.

What Does The Procedure Feel Like?

Patients usually report feeling light tingling or warmth in the treated area. Occasionally, in areas where there is less fat or over bony prominences (such as hips) mild discomfort may be felt during the Ultrasound pulse which lasts only a few seconds.

Preparation?

Pre-measurements, your weight, and photographs of the area to be treated will be taken to record the baseline and the changes occurring as a result of the treatment.

Your face and other identifying characteristics will not be photographed, so it will not be possible to identify you from the photographs. This will help in evaluating the result of the treatment.

The Ultrasound energy (sound waves) will be applied using a specially designed piece of equipment that is moved over the surface of the skin. The operator of the device will apply medically compatible oil to the skin, similar to the gel used in imaging ultrasound. The oil will be re-applied as needed throughout the treatment.

What Happens To The Fat After The UltraShape Procdure?

During the Ultrashape procedure, the fat cells are disrupted and destroyed, removing them from the area being treated forever. The fat cell content, primarily comprised of triglycerides, is broken down and transported to the liver.

The fat is processed via the body’s natural mechanisms. There is no downtime or recovery time associated with the Ultrashape procedure; you can resume your daily routine immediately after treatment.

To aid the body’s natural elimination process it is recommended to drink plenty of water after your procedure and to maintain a healthy diet and exercise to maximise results.

What Are The Side Effects?

A mild, comfortable tingling sensation may be felt immediately after the procedure, lasting up to a few hours. Very mild reddening of the area may occur due to the stimulation of the tissue and increased blood flow to the area.

Very rarely, minor blisters have occurred. Extensive clinical trials and over 50,000 patient treatments performed worldwide have demonstrated the excellent safety profile of the Ultrashape procedure.
